Ruck in the East Stand
|
Blimey- i nearly knocked my hot chocolate over- there was huge melee just behind me last night halfway through the first half- initially thought it was a couple of gooners but then turned out to be two west ham who wanted to fight everyone- claret and noses splattered everywhere and the security detail took about five minutes to arrive..very strange and not what us in the posh seats expect!
And no I didnt film it as I aint a grass

Not unusual. I saw a good few scraps in the BML at UP.

Used to happen all the time... one of the best scraps I ever saw was at Anfield between 2 Hammers.... one of them used to stand near our lot in the Chicken Run.. the state of his boat the next week was a sight to see

Only fight I've seen between Hammers was at the League Cup Final vs Liverpool - very pissed-up bloke wanted to fight everyone, but his mate was doing an admirable job of restraining him... until the pissed-up bloke took a swing at his mate...
Not sure how it finished, as there was a rather distracting football match going at the same time, and the fight was in the seats behind me.

Right behind it in East Upper.... the only thing that surprised my was how long it took the stewards to sort it out... as the poster said, they took an age
Other than that an unremarkable incident though I'm sure one of the protagonists was heard to mutter 'looking for Johnson..."

I reckon if i'd have sat near that Opera Dave a few more times i'd have ended up weighing him in.
A lot of cunts go and watch football... And we have more than our fair share.

Didn't one of our fans beat his own mate to death (also West Ham) after our 1-5 loss to Arsenal last season?
Fuck knows what that was all about. A bit too far, if you ask me.

You're talking about a fight that happened 36 years ago. Fucking hell.
Have you got any stories from the 70's?

Haha Opera Dave, I remember him I think. Short dark hair, always singing and noisy, quite a big group of lads he goes with? Haven't seen him in the new stadium.

It was in the row in front of me. Bloke was pissed and kept taking off the hat of the bloke in front of him and throwing it. They guy whose hat it was, was a middle aged bloke and kept telling him to stop doing it. The guy carried on. The other bloke called a steward over to intervene. At this the guy pushed him and kept calling him a grass. 2 bigger blokes in my row told him to leave the fella alone, the guy said if they wanted some. They said they did and lamped him with a lovely right hook. Then it was fists everywhere. The stewards legged it to get the security. This took about 5 minutes. The bloke who started the fight was thrown out. It wasnt even his ticket, he borrowed it off of a mate. Bet his mate received a call from the club this morning.

aha thanks for the clarity! There was a bloke with a red scarf on - think he was the guy who's hat was being lobbed. They went at each other tho' didnt they!?
